Hemson Goods – Customer Analysis

Project Objective

The aim of the project is to help Hemson Goods in promoting its brand directly to customers by enhancing its website traffic, boosting sales, and enhancing customer experience, without relying on retailers.

 

Project Description

Our team tackled the different challenges of Hemson Good’s limited website traffic, low sales, and advertising issues in the cannabis accessory industry. For us to accomplish this, we must adopt a different type of approach for us to be successful with this project. The first step was to conduct an in-depth analysis of Hemson’s website, studying its current online presence, user behaviour, and purchasing patterns. Additionally, we have collaborated with Hemson’s owners to gather valuable data, enabling us to identify trends and patterns to optimize their online presence.
Our team explored various platforms for gathering data such as Google Ads, Google Analytics, StatsCan and Headset.io. We will utilize these open data within the cannabis sector to gain a comprehensive understanding of the industry. Our industry partner Hemson Goods provided us with their internal data for us to analyze. We will apply various data analysis models, to analyze the data, identify patterns and trends, customer behaviours and make informed recommendations.
Our main challenge was lack of data related to cannabis accessories, and how it affects the market. Thus, our solution was to look at the whole industry and what is its correlation to the plant itself. In this project, you will see the bigger picture on how the cannabis industry is moving and what are the top markets. With the help of Excel and PowerBI, we were able to make our analysis and visualize our data to present to our partners.
With the insights gathered, we will create and implement a targeted marketing strategy, tailored to Hemson’s needs, increase traffic and sales. Ultimately, our deliverables will include a comprehensive report detailing our findings, recommendations, and marketing strategies. We will also provide Hemson Goods with a roadmap to implement our recommendations, helping them optimize their online presence, increase traffic, and grow their sales.
